Come Celebrate Earth Day in the Columbia Gorge With Steve Carlson, Local Geologist, Columbia Gorge Discovery Center What do the stories in the rocks tell us? Discover how the Gorge was formed & its amazing past, including formations and the impact of the Missoula Floods. Explore the world of geology, learning about tectonic plates & the effects of geologic action over the eons. Special emphasis will be focused on volcanoes & earthquakes relating to the Pacific NW. Understand the basic components of the earth's systems & interactions, including types of rocks & hazards. Join us, even if you missed the first lecture! All ages are welcome.
