Name: CGOA Presents David Wilcox with Gorge Sinfonietta
Date: May 6, 2017
Time: 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
The Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association is proud to announce that singer-songwriter David Wilcox will be appearing with the Gorge Sinfonietta on May 6, 2017. Wilcox is a fan favorite in the Pacific Northwest, appearing frequently in Portland and Eugene.  Cleveland-born David Wilcox is a father, a husband, a citizen and a songwriter. First inspired to play guitar after hearing a fellow college student playing in a stairwell, Wilcox is now 18 records into a career marked by personal revelation and wildly loyal fans. His lyrical insight is matched by a smooth baritone voice, virtuosic guitar chops, and creative open tunings, giving him a range and tenderness rare in folk music.  The May 6 concert is only the second time that David Wilcox has appeared with an orchestra and the performance will include both solo performances and some of his greatest hits, with full orchestral backing. The concert begins at 7:30 in the historic Hood River Middle School Auditorium. General seating is $20 adults (18 and over) and $10 for students and children (10-17). Tickets are available at the door and through
Hood River Middle School Auditorium, 1602 May Street, Hood River
